FAQ

1. I don't have much time to read the whitepaper, could you please explain what Halalanft is?

At the very least, please read the Disclaimer section in this whitepaper. Because it's important to know.

As for Halalanft, it is an NFT collection of Web3 Halal enthusiast community. But it doesn't stop there, it will build a halal web3 ecosystem, starting with the design of the NFT collection itself, running the validator of a layer 1 blockchain, and halal yield optimizer.

2. Why Halalanft?

The crypto space is new, and islamic scholars have started to discuss it from sharia perspective. And of course in the realm of muamalah fiqh like this there are pros and cons with each argument.

As Muslims, we have an obligation to always obey orders and stay away from what is prohibited, but on the other hand, we must not be left behind with this rising industry or new technologies that are believed to bring new economic models called: blockchain and web3 where tokens/ crypto assets become enablers.

And since the Halalanft Team is one of the pros of the web3 space, so we aspire to accommodate halal web3 enthusiasts: investors, traders, developers, and even Muslim NFT artists, globally. We make Halalanft a forum for joint discussion about the world of web3 from an Islamic perspective and build together a Halal web3 ecosystem.

3. So what's in it for me if I buy NFT from Halalanft?

We want to emphasize to potential buyers of our NFTs, that if you buy our NFTs, you get a unique digital art that is recorded on the blockchain. If you like the artwork, go ahead and buy it and collect it. And by that, the NFT gives you value already.

Halalanft is about a halal web3 movement and building an ecosystem, not getting instant profits. Even so, NFT holders are not necessarily without any benefits other than just an NFT artwork, but will also get certain content access rights, community governance rights, and the right to receive rewards.

4. There are lots of failed NFT projects out there. And even just making the project team or developer get huge profit before they finally abandon the NFT project. So what makes Halalanft different from these NFT projects?

The Halalanft project, is not a short-term project where the holders get the value of services or rewards that are equivalent to the value of their NFT purchases. We make no promises or guarantees that this project will be successful. However, at Halalanft we have the tagline "Ethical Society". It will be a culture of community, and team commitment. We avoid playing degen, ponzinomics, and market manipulation with pump and dump; instead, we focus on utility and creating revenue streams for the community and ecosystem.

5. What is this NFT purchase/transaction contract (from a muamalah fiqh perspective)?

The contract is the sale and purchase of digital art in the form of NFT, which is a unique digital art that is recorded on the blockchain. The utility presented in the whitepaper is a form of after-sales appreciation (not a dividend promise), either in the form of access rights, voting rights, or rewards.

NFT Halalanft will have its own artistic value for digital art connoisseurs and collectors. May Allah make it easy.

6. Isn't there an element of gharar in minting NFT?

In general, this is correct. Especially if there is a separate level of scarcity which will usually have a higher resale value than the minting price. However, there are two types of gharar, heavy gharar and light gharar.

"The Islamic scholars agree that a light gharar does not affect the validity of a contract." [1]

And as long as there is an object for sale, the object is known (i.e. digital art) the theme character is known, the buyer can determine the amount of the desired item, the NFT sold can be submitted, and the nominal price is known, then this minting transaction is legal & allowed from a sharia perspective (light gharar). And it can be an invalid transaction if any of the above information is not met.

Halalanft will provide a more detailed leak of the character and nature of the NFT that will be launched, and then apply a minting model with different minting prices between common and rare NFTs, and remain with one minting price in each of these rarity levels, so that the elements existing gharar becomes light gharar. Wallahu a'lam

7. How many NFTs are available?

The maximum supply of Halalanft NFTs is 3,000 NFTs only, and for the phase 1 public minting (the pioneers minting) there will only be 400 NFTs sold at a discount of about 10% from the phase 2 public minting.

8. Will Halalanft launch tokens?

Not for now.

9. I am not a Muslim, am I allowed to buy Halalanft NFT and participate in the community? Halalanft does have the main purpose of accommodating the Halal Web3 community, but that is not a limitation for non-Muslim web3 activists to join. We uphold religious diversity and tolerance, especially in terms of commercial transactions or muamalah. We welcome anyone who is not Muslim to join the community and together build a Web3 ecosystem that upholds moral and ethical values.

10. Is there a minimum target number of NFT sales/minting in determining whether this project will be continued or not, especially after public minting?

No, at the moment, but of course there will be roadmap adjustments if the NFT in phase 1 is not sold out.

11. What makes Halalanft different?

  • NFT artwork/drawings that meet sharia compliance.

  • Gateway to join the global Halal Web3 community.

  • Generate revenue with halal web3 ecosystem.
